On Saturday I spent the day in Bath for my lovely friend Megan's (fellow blogger at Briar Rose) Hen party. It was an afternoon event full of wonderful things. We got crafty with the help of Crown & Glory, who set out some fab things for us to make! We tucked into cake and fizzy drinks, we sang, chatted and most of the girlies drank lots of fizzy cava!! It was a lovely day and to thank everyone for making it so great I put together a little video, you can watch below.

On the day the dress code was 'Disney inspired', so I based my outfit on the lovely Belle from Beauty and the beast. I went for a yellow dress, this one from Chicwish. I have wanted it for ages and when it arrived last week I knew it was perfect for the day! For a fun little touch to the look I went for some knee high socks and red heels. As it was Disney theme I thought the bright colours would be suited and make a cute change to my normal daily attire. I made myself a rose necklace based on the rose in the film, and a cute flower crown from La Caja Oxidada. I love how the look turned out and the day was a great success. Can't wait for the wedding now, especially as a bridesmaid :).

Rose Petals

Hello everyone, sorry it has been a while. For some reason I keep getting caught up in other things and don't seem to get a spare hour or so to sit down and blog! But I am here now and it's nice to relax. Most of my days, as you know are spent looking at clothing stores and browsing online at various places. Lately as I have started selling things on my Etsy store, I often browse there as well for pretty dresses or items. So when I came across a shop called Love Melody Clothing, I instantly fell in love. Usually Etsy can be quite hit and miss, but not this lovely store!! Each dress had my name on it and everything (and I mean everything) I could have worn happily. To my delight the shop owner responded to a message of mine asking if I would like to be sent something and of course I was giddy with excitement.

Go take a look at her shop and you will see why!
I got this really pretty red dress with bow detail at the back, fairly plain and easy to accessorize. I love the fit and shape though, that's what won me over. Love Melody have a lot of dresses in this style in every colour you can think of and also cute printed fabric as well. The red is obviously as lovely as all the others, however I probably would have gone for a green or something clashing to my hair. But considering I don't own pretty much any red items of clothing this dress was very welcome.

Living by the seaside.

It feels so long since I wrote a post, this week has been a bit rubbish and has dragged! The weekend seems like it was such a long time ago, and with the sunshine disappearing this week we can only hope this weekend is as good as the last. Living by the seafront is a luxury when the sun is shining and on Sunday it was the perfect day. I went with my family for lunch in a lovely pub on the seafront, so got some great photos of the day!

For the occasion I wore my Miss Patina dress as the anchor print and nautical style were perfect for the seaside day! I really love Miss Patina, their style is very English rose and they have the perfect selection of summer dresses. This one really caught my eye because of the large collar like detail with bow. I also added the bird brooch for an added extra vintage style look. This will be a great dress for the summer, especially living on the coast it means I can wear it and blend into the scenery! haha!

Summertime sweetness.

 photo IMG_1246_zps8bb18bc3.jpg

The south of England has been blessed with yet more sunshine! As I said in my previous post I can't get enough of it. That's why last night I spent the whole day, even up until the hazy hours of sun set. Off I went with my boyfriend and my camera to take some photos and the lighting was just so beautiful. I think my favorite time of day has to be summer evenings, when the air is fresh and the sun still leaves a warm feeling on your skin.

These kind of days make day dream on a completely different level, when taking photos in this beautiful Hedonia dress I couldn't help but feel like a fairy. Or at the very least I felt like I was on holiday! The dress is a stunning classic style, with a corseted bodice in a love heart style, with a lace over lay on the front and back. those simple details are enough as it makes it delicate and wearable to several occasions. For me the skirt is perfect length but I think if you are about 5"5 it may be a little short! however, I like this length as it makes the style fun and girlie.

I partnered the dress with my favorite blazer from Topshop (I brought it on Ebay for a bargain)! My favorite combination right now has to be baby pastel blue and bright yellow. So the added touches of yellow with my Topshop daisy necklace and yellow nail polish. Finishing off the look with Primark black flatform heels, black belt and quilted bag (if only it was Chanel)!
